She was handpicked by Steve Jobs to direct the Apple iPad launch campaign, she also won the coveted Cannes Young Director’s Award and an AICP award for her “Sony Make.Believe” autobiographical film about growing up in a filmmaking family.
Jessica recently directed the martial arts action comedy short film “The Cocktail Party” that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and has won numerous awards around the world. Her acclaimed short film “End of the Line” in which a big man purchases a tiny man from a pet store premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The set involved building a 30ft penis and a human-sized toaster.
Jessica’s feature documentary “After Innocence” won the Sundance Special Jury Prize and was a game-changer in criminal justice reform and now the basis of her forthcoming feature film ‘Picking Cotton’, which tells the story of Ronald Cotton, an innocent man who served 11 years in jail.
