COCA-COLA & CAMPARI, NIKE & ADIDAS, VOLKSWAGEN & FIAT… if you can drink it, wear it or drive it, Matteo might well have made a commercial for it. He also made one for American Airlines, but we can’t recommend you fly a plane for legal reasons. 

Though he was born in Italy, Matteo had somewhat of a global upbringing, frequently moving throughout his childhood years. It left him with both the ability to feel at home anywhere, and a cache of influences, references and inspirations more diverse than many of his peers. 

He then studied architecture at the University of Genoa, before realizing film has more spontaneity and artistic integrity than buildings, which understandably have pretty stringent restrictions. So he took up with MTV networks, shooting pan-European promos in London and Milan. Impressed by his ability to capture the energy and atmosphere of youth, the brands came calling.

As watchable, joyful and engaging as his films may be… please don’t fly a plane.
