PHOEBE BOURKE

Phoebe is an award-winning writer/director specialising in comedy.

Phoebe has directed scripted comedy for Sky, Channel 4, and the BBC, her short films have been selected for BAFTA Qualifying Encounters Film Festival, DUMBO Short Film Festival, FilmBath, and BFI's LOCO Festival and she was nominated for Best Director for her debut short 'The Neighbour' at Underwire Festival. Most recently, Phoebe directed Fern Brady’s original comedy special for Netflix, released in April. Phoebe has written for the BBC, Sky, Dave, BAFTA and Channel 4 and is currently working on an original scripted comedy co-created with Rosco5 for FX.

Phoebe also co-founded the multi-award-winning production company Berk's Nest in 2013. She has directed many hours of live comedy, earning 8 nominations in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards - the ‘Oscars of Live Comedy’. She also directed Rose Matafeo's stage show Horndog, which won the Edinburgh Comedy Award and was recorded for HBO Max.
